Overview

Benetti is an Italian shipyard based in Viareggio, on Italy's northwestern coast, and is often cited as the oldest continuously operating shipyard building large yachts, with roots as a family shipbuilding business in the 19th century.

History

Originally a wooden shipbuilding business, Benetti moved into steel and fibreglass yacht construction through the 20th century and became part of the Azimut Benetti Group, one of the largest yacht-building groups by volume, while retaining a distinct identity focused on larger custom and semi-custom yachts.

Benetti offers both fully custom projects and semi-custom ranges built to more standardized hull platforms, giving it a broader size and price range than yards that build exclusively one-off projects.
